Alan recently joined Space Matrix from New York where he spent over 13 years
honing his hospitality design skills with various firms, and as principal of his own firm.

One of the biggest influences on Alan’s work is his travel experiences. He says that
immersing his “creative bones” in the culture of a foreign land provides invaluable
inspiration, bringing a global and eclectic aspect to his work.

Alan enjoys creating works that weave together the old and new. The result is a
blended design that is both historic and contemporary, where the sum of the total
design is greater than its separate parts.

The natural tension between traditional and contemporary aspects create a new
design language that affords his clients unique and proprietary designs of their own.
