Darren brings over 20 years of design and information technology experience and driving focus on executive & project management, strategic & operational planning, and professional design & media services.

Prior to joining Space Matrix, Darren was CEO at Satellier, the world's leading AEC work-share services provider. As CEO, he was responsible for executive stewardship of all aspects of strategic and tactical business planning to further their market leadership in the building industry.

Darren has built his career as a thought and services leader in design and information technology through his roles of CIO with Swanke Hayden Connell Architects, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Cubellis; and of Senior Business Consultant with Autodesk Consulting AEC where he focused on adoption and implementation of building information modeling (BIM) at large US AEC firms as a subject-matter expert.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and began his career in Boston, Massachusetts as both an architectural designer and CAD manager implementing some of the first digital design processes and systems for Bergmeyer and Payette.

At Space Matrix as our first CIO, Darren will develop, lead and oversee vision, strategy & implementation of firm wide design technology systems & initiatives. He will build and expand our technology portfolio to include Digital Design, Information Technology, Knowledge Management and Research & Development. He will also oversee our joint technology vision with Gensler and our other business partners.
