BMR Advisors
Context:
The new facility was planned in accordance with BMR’s decision to shift their base from New Delhi to Gurgaon.
Challenge:
The semi-circular shape of the building posed as the biggest challenge for efficient space planning. Also, the brief from the client was to have a very high-end reception and client facing area. In addition, there were major administrative challenges to the project as the client was shifting base from New Delhi to Gurgaon. This shift meant the probability of losing some of their consultants. Hence, they needed the client facing areas to be high-end and work areas to be aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to minimize the impact of the move.
Solution:
Treated Granite stone was used to give the space a very different and premium feel. Enclosures at the reception/client facing area were created with wooden lattices to maintain a certain degree of privacy and confidentiality. 120 degree workstations have been used to optimally utilize the space and counter the negative effect of the semi-circular shape of the building. Also to tackle the major administrative issues, the work-areas were made to be aesthetically pleasing. Graphics were used extensively for this purpose to enliven the spaces.
