Hines

Context:
Hines, one of the largest real estate developers was setting up their Corporate Office in Gurgaon, India.

Challenge:
The client’s top priority was for the facility to have a premium look, as it was the face of their business.  At the same time the space needed to be utilized efficiently with some measure of modularity to allow for future expansion.

Solution:
The design was kept simple and elegant with a Scandinavian/minimalist look. The space was kept mostly white with a mix of steel and glass, while also bringing in their corporate color red through the fabric at workspaces, carpet and at spaces in the open ceiling. The height of the facility was enhanced by having an open ceiling, which also gave a feeling of openness to the office. Indirect lighting was used in the open work spaces as well as corridors to achieve the correct lux levels and reduce strain. The cafeteria had a lounge and library integrated and also had a large AV presentation screen that was cleverly hidden. Although the corporate colour was introduced in the library, there was a deliberate attempt to keep the colours soft in order to focus on the exterior view from the cafeteria.
