The BCG UnOffice: A user-driven workplace design journey
BCG one of the world’s largest consulting group, whose purpose is unlocking the potential of those who advance the world, felt their workforce didn’t live the very purpose. The vision for their new workplace was to translate their purpose and unlock the potential of their own people and enable them to look for solutions beyond the horizon.
With the objective of bringing people back to work we conceptualized a truly creative workplace design strategy through which we introduced certain enablers to tackle and negate the inhibitors we learnt about. But the key insight that also emerged is that constant momentum leads to thinkers block, considered lethal in the world of consultancy. That’s when we knew countering the inhibitors with the enablers wasn’t enough and we’d have to bring in stimulants - spaces that go beyond immediate needs and actually equip people to tap into their untapped potential, aligning workstyles with the BCG motto. And thus emerged the UnOffice.
Project Highlight: The BCG UnOffice witnessed a staggering rise in the inflow of employees despite opening in Jan 2021 when the world was still seeing a preference for working from home amidst the pandemic.
A winner at the International Property Awards for Best Office Interior Design 2021-2022.
