Adding to the challenge, the chosen location was a vast warehouse, which presented an unconventional canvas for transformation.

In response to this challenge, the team of designers and workplace experts at Space Matrix set out to revolutionise the warehouse space into an innovative and functional workspace. The central goal was to craft an environment that offered flexibility, harnessed the warehouse's volume, and fostered a strong sense of community among employees. Our approach to the new office design was innovative, providing a rich tapestry of diverse spaces to cater to various tasks, whether collaborative or individual.

The key to this transformation lay in the masterful use of different materials and finishes to define unique areas within the office. A medley of elements, including tiles, timber, paint, graphics, and locally inspired patterns, was artfully integrated to create inviting, one-of-a-kind spaces. One striking example is the Chai Bar, a vibrant meeting point that encouraged planned and spontaneous collaboration. The Chai Bar, among other inspired spaces, was designed as a hub for meaningful interactions, making the entire office a vibrant testament to Airbnb's brand ethos.
