The challenge presented to us was to design the corporate office of Qiantan Taikoo Li, located on the 8th floor of the Qiantan Center in Shanghai while maintaining the naturalistic design concept inspired by natural elements, which was a key philosophy of the retail project.

The client wanted to infuse the office space with wellness, creating an environment where employees could enjoy a positive work-life balance.

Additionally, the transition from a traditional enclosed office to an open one required a tailored Change Management program to ensure a smooth shift both physically and mentally.

Our design approach, The Ripple Effect, aligned perfectly with the Qiantan Taikoo Li development philosophy. We integrated natural elements with contemporary architecture, creating a healthy, sustainable, and enjoyable office environment. The design concept extended from the heart of the space, symbolised by the central creative corner with a natural outlook, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor.

The visitor journey was thoughtfully curated, with an Active Entry offering diverse open collaboration spaces and meeting facilities. We celebrated the client’s commitment to talent development by incorporating wellness hubs throughout the office. These spaces, known as Mindful Moments, provided areas for rest, meditation, and relaxation, enhancing the overall sense of well-being.

The reception backdrop wall design, inspired by the company's logo, not only showcased the brand but also served as an art piece, creating a lasting impact. Biophilic design elements were integrated throughout the space, with a green wall behind the reception, potted plants along the open office, and graphic walls highlighting natural patterns and colors. The layout of the wellness pockets followed organic lines, deviating from the traditional straight angles of the working space.

Our design solution had a transformative impact on the Qiantan Taikoo Li office space. The Ripple Effect of wellness resonated throughout the entire community, fostering a positive and inspiring work environment. Employees and visitors alike experience a seamless blend of natural elements and contemporary design, creating a sense of connection to the surrounding landscape.

The office space became a true expression of the company's values, emphasising its commitment to people and talent development. The biophilic design elements, including green walls, natural finishes, and organic layouts, infuse the office with a sense of tranquillity and harmony with nature.
