Legato Health Technologies, now Carelon Global Solutions, faced a significant shift in their work dynamics post-pandemic. They therefore sought to transform their offices into future-focused facilities that prioritised wellness, embodied their brand values, and acted as a magnet for top talent. The goal was to create a sense of community and belonging, enticing employees back to the office.

To address the challenges of post-Covid work, we adopted a design philosophy centered around inviting, secure, and happy environments. Our concept, Cynefin represents a place where employees feel they belong, embraced by nature's nurturing embrace. Inspired by elements of nature, the space reflected natural materials, muted tones, and fresh pops of color. Floor-wise theming based on seasons created a calming and safe ambiance.

Applying design thinking to address Legato’s challenges we deep-dived into the vision and aspiration of the business, and the solution, therefore, focuses on:

Choice and the Ability to Focus and Meet: Varied settings cater to future workstyles, ensuring both focus and collaborative work, along with enhanced connectivity.

Team Building & Co-Creation: Spaces for intentional collaboration within and across teams foster socialness and camaraderie.

Enhanced Connections & Design a Vertical Community: Experiential journey from building arrival, with unique destinations for diverse experiences.

Diversity and Inclusivity: A human-centric design with gender sensitivity, disability-friendly spaces, and neurodiverse considerations.

Technology & Space: Modularity of spaces and integrated collaboration technology enable future hybrid work scenarios.

The results were nothing short of remarkable - a staggering 4X surge in alternate work points, a threefold increase in meeting and community spaces, an impressive three times more focus work points and a 60% increase in Peak hour Occupancy post-pandemic.

The new office was wholeheartedly embraced by employees, with alternate work points filling up rapidly. This transformative endeavour not only realized Legato Health Technologies' vision of a cutting-edge workplace but also became an alluring beacon for top talent, cultivating a thriving culture of well-being, camaraderie, and exceptional productivity.
